Flextrol CST (Carbon Steel Tracing)

Flextrol CST (Carbon Steel Tracing) is a 1″ X 2″ rectangular pipe contoured on one side to match the outside diameter of the process pipe.  Specifically designed for long-run hot oil or steam tracing, this product provides an excellent and lower cost alternative to jacketed piping.  It provides more heating capacity than tube tracing.

 

Flextrol CST is used in a variety of piping applications to keep the process flowing, prevent vapor condensation on the pipe wall, and heat-up or cool-down the process prior to key process equipment. The cost advantage over jacketed piping and its thermal and reliability advantages over tube tracing make it an attractive thermal maintenance solution for many processes.

 

Flextrol CST can be pre-fabricated from customer drawings or it can be provided as parts to be fabricated in the field. Flextrol will provide a thermal analysis to size the system.

 

The product is formed from SA 178 Gr. A, carbon steel boiler tubing.  The elements are fabricated and tested in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Div. 1 or Section IX.
